Magnificent Asian Dragon Bronze Sculpture

This beautiful, ornate dragon sculpture in cast bronze, with a silver patina, is the most unusual and highly prized possession that we offer, and it is well worth it. It is statement piece, one that is intricately carved and detailed, and it features a very expressive pose and expression: it almost seems poised to attack.

This large bronze is about 3 feet long and 2 feet tall - and it clutches a huge pearl in its talons, a traditional pose of Chinese dragons. In China dragons are seen as good: according to tradition, they have special powers, particularly over water and weather such as floods and typhoons. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength and good luck. It would make an unusual and exceptional addition to your home decor, or as an extraordinary gift to someone you hold close to your heart. I found this in an antique store in Java, and while it is at least over 30 years old, it has the feel of a vintage bronze.
