Vintage Carved Barong Wall Decor Masks

The Barong is a mythical beast that purifies and protects the village. The mask itself is a sacred object of worship and usually kept in a temple. Barong masks are taken out to perform dances and ceremonies on major holidays. This traditional mask, carved by a master carver in North Bali, is filled with character and will enhance any home with possible protection!

These are vintage masks in excellent condition for the age of 50 plus years. They are painted with deep red, black, brown, and gold leaf, and age has distressed the patina a bit, adding to its mystical feel.
