Coat Hook Hamsa & Hand of Fatima
The Hamsa Hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolizing the Hand of God. In all faiths it is a protective sign, bringing happiness, luck, health, and good fortune. In Hebrew it is called a Hamsa, derived from the five fingers on the hand. Its Arabic name is Hand of Fatima, after the daughter of the prophet Muhammad, in addition to the Hand of Mary, the Hand of Miriam, and the Hand of the Goddess. Two screws or nails required to mount easily on the wall (not included). Hand cast mixture of bronze and brass, sculpted in the lost wax method, created in Central Java, Indonesia. Small pores and imperfections caused by the production process make each piece unique.
