Meet the female partner to the Large Thinking Man, this is a striking art piece for any tribal art lover. Carved from dense dark ironwood by Sumbanese tribal artists, this primitive sculpture of a thinking woman upon a tall base as she ponders the world beyond her tribe. From the island of Sumba, this is a decorative figure from a culture with a traditional religion which includes both ancestral worship, and deity worship. This carving is solid in stature and weight, and though sold separately, is said to be the wife of the male sculpture and ideally would like to stay united.
