Primitive Thinking Man Carving Small

Carved from dense dark ironwood by Sumbanese tribal artists, this primitive sculpture of a thinking man sits upon a tall base as he ponders the big world around him. From the island of Sumba, where there is a culture and traditional religion which includes both ancestral, and deity worship. This carving is not that old yet has a very slight crack in the wood.
